Use a Tag - Creative Knockouts #86

Hello and I hope every one is having a fantastic Sunday! Last Thursday there was a new challenge over at Creative Knockouts. I had an unexpected family emergency that kept me from my craft room and from getting my card up in time for the challenge. But there is still time to play!

The theme for this weeks challenge is use a tag and the sponsor is Sweet N Sassy Stamps. I was given the image Butterfly and Flower to work with, thank you!

I kept the card simple. I tried a lot of different embellishments but I thought they took away from the image. Sometimes less is more!

There is still time play along and have a chance at winning a $12 certificate to the Sweet N Sassy store.

Sing Me A Song - Crafting When We Can #92

Hello and happy Sunday! The weather has just been gorgeous the last few days after we had a huge thunderstorm and many tornado warnings on Thursday. It looks like it will be a beautiful week coming up too.

This week at Crafting When We Can the challenge is to use song lyrics on your card. The sponsor this week is Faery Ink Designs and I was given Granmargaret Fairy to use on my card, thank you!

I colored the image with Copic markers and I used the Atyou Spica glitter pens on her wings and bodice.

Hello and happy Thursday. It is time for a birthday challenge at Creative Knockouts.  This weeks challenge is sponsored by Imagine That and they are offering a $10 gc to their store. What's the Weather - Crafting When We Can #91

Hello and happy Sunday! I hope every one has been staying healthy. We have had a cold work it's way through everyone in the house. I thought I got lucky but no, I finally came down with this terrible head cold.

It is time for another challenge at Crafting When We Can and the theme is the weather. The sponsor for the challenge is Oddball Art and I was given Alex #172 to work with this week, thank you! I decided to use the challenge theme of weather to inspire my sentiment. That's one advantage of digital stamps, you can add your own sentiment before printing it off.

I made an A2 card this week. It has been so long since I have made an A2 card that I thought I cut the cardstock wrong and had to find an envelope to double check!

Spring Is In the Air - Creative Knockouts #82

Hello and happy Thursday! I cannot believe that March is almost over! You know I did not make one St. Patrick's Day card or scrapbook page. I hope my Irish ancestors aren't rolling their eyes at me from above!

It is time for another challenge at Creative Knockouts and the theme is Spring Is In the Air. The sponsor is Art By Miran and I was given Punkette Peta to work with, thank you! It seems like most people I know pick their papers first and then color their image to match. I, however, like to live life on the edge! I like to color my image and then scramble around frantically looking through my stash for 10 minutes until I find something that inspires me. Which brought me to find this paper in an accordion file of papers I forgot about. This paper is old. The tear strip says 2006 on it! I thought these colors suited Punkette perfectly.

Scrapbook Page - 7th Grade

Hello and happy spring! Well, at least I think it is supposed to be spring but Mother Nature has other ideas. It was snowing this morning! Yep, we got at least 3-4 inches of the white, fluffy stuff. I hope where ever you are, the sun is shinning!

I have a scrapbook page to share. This is a really simple, one page layout. I used the Cricut to cut the circle and the title. No embellishments, just some simple layers of soild and  patterned paper.
