Dream

Happy Wednesday! Today I have an altered notebook to share. This is for a gift for a young girl. I used my Cricut to make all the elements on the notebook. I just discovered the Flower Shoppe cartridge and I just love it!

I used the following cartridges on this project: Joys of the Season, Flower Shoppe, Gypsy Font, Gypsy Wanderings.

BasicGrey and National Scrapbook Day #4

Hello again! Here is another layout for the BasicGrey National Scrapbook Challenge. There are 11 challenges all together! For this challenge create a project where the top half features all of your photos and embellishments and the bottom half is left alone to allow for white space. Click here to see the original challenge.

I had these two itty, bitty wallet size photos that someone took with their cell phone. I would have printed them at 4x6 if I could, but the resolution just wasn't high enough. This challenge seemed like it might work for these pictures.

I used another old collection, Origins. I am down to my last 12 full size sheets so I need to make them count! The solid cardstock is Bazzill.

Please scroll down to see the other three layouts I made for National Scrapbook Day.

BasicGrey & National Scrapbook Day #3

Here is my third post today for BasicGrey's National Scrapbook Day. The challenge was to use a craft knife or scissors to cut around the design on patterned paper.

Another easy one. This is an easy way to make embellishments for your layout! I used a combination of Wassail and Jovial to make this layout. I cut out the large poinsettia from a sheet of MerryMaker and the gifts and ornament from a sheet of Nipping. I really like Jovial and wish I had some more!

Okay, so I made this layout after the circle layout with all the white space. So maybe I got a little carried with the patterned paper!

BasicGrey & National Scrapbook Day #2

Here is my second layout for BasicGrey's National Scrapbook Day Challenge. The challenge was to punch or cut circles out of patterned paper and use as the main element on your project.

Easy Peasy! I used Two Scoops to create this layout. I know this is a very old line of paper but I like it and I have LOTS of it! LOL

Here is a link to the original challenge.

BasicGrey & National Scrapbook Day!!!!

Hello and happy Sunday! Yesterday was National Scrapbook Day. BasicGrey had a whole bunch of inspiring challenges on their blog. This is the first page I created. The challenge was to use non-holiday themed paper to document a holiday. So I decided to scrap an Easter picture. I do have other paper with cute bunnies and eggs and cute saying like Hippity Hoppity but this challenges seemed fun to do something different.

The pattern paper is all from Hello Luscious, the brads are from Olivia, and the journalling tag is from Green at Heart. I cut the title out with my Cricut using the Jasmine cartridge.

The solid card stock is from DCWV. The solid green card stock with the Hello Luscious collection was a little lighter than I wanted. The DCWV was just right!

You're A Star!

Hello and happy Wednesday! I hope every one is having a great May Day!! Time sure is flying by. Speaking of time flies, the little guy in this layout is now 11 years and 7 months old!

For this layout I used a sketch I found at the Let's Scrap site. I used BasicGrey's Oliver collection  for this layout and a teeny tiny bit of KaiserCraft DP and Bazzill card stock. I used my Cricut to cut out the large star and circles.

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning and happy Tuesday! I hope Spring has finally sprung for every one. The crocus have bloomed and some the daffodils have just started blooming.  It didn't seem like Spring was ever going to get here!

I have a different project to share today. Occasionally, one of my blogging groups I am in does a secret sister exchange. In addition to sending some crafting supplies, we were asked to make some things for our secret sister and one of the items had to have butterflies on it. My secret sister was Maggie. I made a card but then I wasn't sure what to make until I went to Pinterest to see what fun, crafty things she had posted. She had pinned this cute bag and I knew this was what I was going to make!

If you want to make your own bag, the original directions can be found here

Graduate

Hello! It's me again with another scrapbook layout. I used an old BasicGrey Page of the Month design by Beck Fleck. Completely different papers than the original kit but I love how it came out. I did use BasicGrey paper. It is the Sweet Threads line and a little bit of Two Scoops thrown in there.

Here is the original POTM kit version:

The Big Cheese

Hello and happy Sunday! I was hoping to get this posted several days ago and well, you know how life just gets in the way sometimes. Anyway here is a new scrapbook page. My two younger kids love to go to Chuck E. Cheese's. My son especially for his birthday. He still likes to pose with The Big Cheese himself!

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Friday! I cannot believe Easter is only a few days away. Nothing fancy today just this little Easter basket that I filled with goodies and mailed it off to my daughter at college. My blogging buddy Carole had directions for the basket here. The directions call for a piece of 9x9 card stock but I wanted a larger basket and used a 12x12 sheet. The Bunny is also large and I had to cut all the shapes with my Cricut.  Punches just wouldn't have been big enough. Plus, I don't own any punches for paper piecing!
