Crafting When We Can #70 - No Line Stamping

Hello and happy Sunday. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. The weather has been gorgeous. It is starting to feel like summer!

This week at Crafting When We Can is no line stamping with digital stamps. Yes, you can achieve the same affect with digital stamps as with ink. There is a nice tutorial on how to print your digital image at the Crfting When We Can Challenge blog. Basically, you can change your color setting in your word processor program to washout which lightens the entire image, then print.

I have learned a few things creating this card. Instead of reprinting my image and fixing it, I left it so you too can learn from my mistakes! I learned that when there are faces involved, it is better to color with light colors otherwise you can't see the details in the face like the eyes, nose and mouth. If it was a person, then that would have been easy but I was using this cute bunny image, Carrot Patch Bunny from Inky Impressions (thank you). I should have used a much lighter brown or even grey to color this bunny. Maybe even gone back over the face with a black multiliner pen.

So now it's your turn to try some no line stamping (ink or digi) and head on over to Crafting When We Can and show us what you created!

Creative Knockouts #38 - Show Off Your Coloring Skills

Hello and happy Thursday! This week at Creative Knockouts we want you to show off your coloring skills. Whether it's alcohol markers, pencils, water colors etc show us what you can do!

This weeks so pest is The Paper Shelter. The Paper Shelter was kind enough to give me this Adorable Cowgirl image to use for today's card. Thank you! I colored this image with Copic markers.

I used some very old paper from my stash. It's probably 15 years old! It was some old paper from when 8.5x11 scrapbooks were all you could scrap. It's the cute gingham print.

I used the following sketch ketch from Sketch N Stash:

Creative Knockouts Challenge #36 - Ribbons and Bows

Hello and happy Thursday! I hope every one is starting to see warmer weather. I can't wait for summer. The challenge this week at Creative Knockouts is ribbons and bows. I decided to make  double bow out of ribbon. The sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine and they generously gave me this image to use, thank you! The image is Lizabeth Rockabilly. I colored her with Copics. Isn't she fun! The papers I used are really meant for autumn. I love this paper and I do have a few fall birthdays so that will come in handy, LOL!

Head on over the Creative Knockouts this week and let's see what you can create!
