Birthday BBQ

Hello and happy Tuesday! My father-in-law's birthday is coming up so I needed to make the elusive masculine birthday card, LOL.  He will be 86 years young at the end of June. I stamped a simple Happy Birthday sentiment on the inside and colored the image with my Copics.

It is hard to see the detail but I did use the wood grain embossing folder from the Paper Studio with my Cuttlebug. I am getting a lot of use out of that folder!

Creative Knockouts - #42 Embossing

Hello and happy Thursday! It is time for a challenge at Creative Knockouts. This weeks challenge is embossing - heat or dry embossing and is sponsored by the Stamping Chef. The Stamping Chef was kind enough to provide me with Barn Brat to use on my card today - thank you!

I decided to use an embossing folder for today's challenge. It's funny but I do have oodles and oodles of embossing powder but I rarely heat emboss! I colored my image with Copic markers. I also used something from my stash. Can you guess what it is? EYELETS! I haven't used those in forever.

Thanks for stopping by. Now head on over to Creative Knockouts and show us your embossing!

Crafting When We Can - #71 Leftovers

Hello and happy Sunday! It is time for another challenge at Crafting When We Can. Today's challenge is Leftovers. In other words, use those scraps. We all save them, those bits of scraps that are just too precious to throw away! Now it's time to use them up! I am always going to my scrap piles of solid cardstock before I go and cut up a whole sheet. I'm not as good when it comes to the DP I save.

The sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and they were kind enough to give me Latte Momma Sassy to use for my card, thank you! I colored the image with my Copics. All the paper used was from my scraps, even the card base!

I used a sketch from Your Next Stamp's June challenge.

Creative Knockouts - Challenge #40 Die/Punch Frenzy

Hello and happy Thursday to my creative peeps! I hope the weather has been warm and sunny. I have been taking advantage of the weather and spending lots of time in the swimming pool. That is pretty much for plan for the summer! LOL

Challenge # 40 at Creative knockouts is all about using those dies and punches. The sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies. They were kind enough to provide me with Christmas Poinsettia (thank you) for this weeks card. I used Adorning Squares and Labels Three from Spellbinders.

Another fun thing, I bought some Cryogen White paper from The Paper Temptress. Ooh la la, this paper sparkles and you can see the sparkle even after coloring it with Copic markers! If you haven't tried this paper yet, you should!
