Yep, It's a Card!

I haven't had any time in the last week to do anything crafty. I did manage to make this card last Thursday but it took me until today to get it posted! This was a card kit I had received from someone once as a hostess gift for a swap I was hosting on SCS. I have several card kits from a swap I was in several years ago too. I just need to actually start using them! I prefer scrapbooking to card making. I think a scrap page is so much easier! I have no idea what the papers/embellies/stamp is from either. Thanks for looking!

The Incredibles

Hello and Happy Thursday!! Remember when Jolee's first came out with the 3-dimension stickers? I thought those were the best thing to jazz up your scrap page. When all you had was flat stickers and gel pens, you got excited pretty easily! LOL I love buttons and brads and making my own embellishment but sometimes you just gotta go for the quick and easy and that's when they what you get here.  Although getting to the finished page was still a process, which paper, what colors, where do I put the pictures, etc, etc, etc! I did make my own bottle cap embellie though. I was pretty impressed with myself!

Spelunking

Hello and Happy Monday! I made this layout today and I was so excited because I thought it fit the month long challenge at Let's Scrap which is to scrap a monochromatic page. Until I re-read the challenge requirements and you were supposed to use the sketch provided not pick any sketch from the site. OOPS!

Thanks for looking and as usual, click on the picture to get a better view!

Air & Space

Happy hump day! Here is another layout I made using a sketch from the Let's Scrap site. There are a lot of photos on this page. You get so used to putting lots of pretty embellishments on the pages but when there are so many pictures I like to keep it simple. Thanks for looking!

First Grade

Happy Daylight Savings Time! I hope everyone got caught up on their sleep after losing an hour yesterday. I had time to make a layout yesterday. I am still trying to get caught up on my daughter's school pictures. Just pretend you don't see the year in the corner, LOL! I found another flourish die in the clearance section and I couldn't resist buying it. I do like a good flourish and I think they go with any scrap page! I outlined the edge of the border with a lime green copic marker just to make it stand out a little more. Thanks for looking!

Jungle Cruise Take 2

Happy Wednesday! I saw some signs that Spring is almost here. I saw some Spring bulbs poking out of the ground just a little while ago. I cannot wait for Winter to be over! Today I am posting another layout using the pictures from a prior post (to see the post just scroll down a few posts or just click here). It is basically the same sketch from Let's Scrap but I re-arranged the pictures and used different paper. So what do you think?

Baby Blankets

Happy Sunday! This is a scrap booking layout today but another crafty item instead. A friend of mine was collecting baby blankets for a local charity. They give special delivery baskets to new moms and one of the items in the baskets is a baby blanket. She was collecting tags and blankets. I made two tags but forgot to take pictures of the tags....OOPS! I did take pictures of the blankets though! I haven't sewn in a while so it was fun to sew again. May blankets were fleece on one side and flannel on the other and they are about 30" square.

Jungle Cruise

Happy March!I am counting down to the end of winter. I see a light at the end of the tunnel!! Actually this winter wasn't so bad. Usually by February, I can't stand it anymore!  So here is a bright, cheerful layout to start the new month. I found a great website with lots of sketches, Let's Scrap. Today was a new sketch and a new sketch challenge. I love layouts where I can get a lot of pictures on the page. The sketch had a frame around the center square of photos. I made my frame from scraps of DP when I was trimming it (the green and orange) and secured in the corners with a glue dots and a button.  With so many pictures it's hard not to clutter up the page too much. I think this was just enough detail to add something interesting and not take away from all the photos or clutter it up. You can click on each photo for a much larger view.
