More Scrap Book Layouts

I haven't had time to post anything lately. Too busy working on scrap book swaps! I have actually gotten some pictures scrapped from the swaps I got back. So that made me happy. I am still working on new swaps! Trying new things, such as Disney y stocking stuffers (basically altered art), border swaps and card making. I am trying to learn the ropes of good card making. It isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Not at all like a scrapbook page!

Here are some more of the pages I have made and the little hedgehog card I made. It is Penny Black Stamp hedgehog. That line of critter stamps they make are irresistible!

New Scrapbook Layouts

I haven't had time to post anything for a while. My son was in the hospital for 9 days and that put me behind in my swaps! I have busy working on catching up!! I have been working on several layouts for a variety of swaps. Two swaps that I have been working on are a Disney swap using your Cricut and/or Cuttlebug and a summer themed swap. I really like how the pages came out!

Speaking of Cricut, they are celebrating their release of their 100th cartridge: Winter Wonderland. Check it out!

Busy, busy, busy...

I have been busy working on swaps and went to Chicago for a week and then to Florida for a week. Summer is just flying by! Can't believe school will be starting soon.

Here are two projects I have been working on for two different scrapbook swaps I am in. One was Disney 12x12 single-page layout and I decide on Ariel. I did not put any mats when I made it because I decided people could use it for so many things. I decided to use my page to showcase Ariel's autograph on a trip to Disneyland.

The other layout was for a teen girl swap. The layout is a 2-page 12x12 layout. It is hard to put mats on a page when you don't know if other people have portrait or landscape pictures! So I put the mats down in a such a way that it really doesn't matter which direction the photos go!

Tags in a Bag

I have been working on these Tags-in-a-bag for a swap and they are really time consuming. The tags are simple enough. It's the bags that seem to be taking me forever!

Busy Crafting

I have been busy crafting and trying to keep up with all the swaps I joined. Working on too many projects at once LOL! Here are some pictures of some of the things I have been working on.

I still have two more Disney recipe cards to work on, finish three more bags for three other tags, some scrap book layouts and a lot of Disney LOTW's to do.

WHEW! I don't know what I was thinking!

My Space

Here is my scrap booking space. Mostly a storage space. I set up a large fold-up table to work on or bring stuff to the family room! My DH built his space in a closet in our guest bedroom. The room has two closets side-by-side so I took one for me!!

The real beginning....

I realized that my craft obsession began in elementary school! My dad pulled out a handkerchief and it had a little bumble bee embroidered on it. I forgot that I used to embroider his handkerchiefs in the corner with lady bugs, bumble bees and hearts! Then I went through a binder that I used to keep projects in or ideas of things I would like to do and I found the instructions for baby bottle covers! In middle and high school I used to crochet teddy bear baby bottle covers and give them to people as gifts! Well, I still give a lot of my craft projects away as gifts! One year it was beaded wine glass charms, the wreaths, cat doorstops, baby blankets.....the list goes on. My current gift obsession are my lanyards. Many of my lanyards end up as teacher gifts. Now I am in recipe card swaps for Christmas! So I hope people like their gifts this year!!

The beginning

Probably like many people I went through the wreath stage. Everyone received a wreath for a gift at some point. That was back in the '80s. My mom still has one of them hanging in her kitchen. I cringe every time I see it!
