Winter Wonderland - Creative Knockouts #68

Hello and happy Thursday! I hope everyone is finished with their holiday shopping. December has just flown by. Life has thrown some curve balls and I haven't had time to craft or post. I don't think I will be sending hand made cards this year. I haven't even had time to address envelopes much less make a card.

I do have a card to share for this weeks challenge at Creative Knockouts. The sponsor is Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and the challenge theme is winter wonderland. I was given You Light Up My Life Snowman. This is such a cute image. This would be cute on a scrapbook page as well!

Come join us at Creative Knockouts this week and show us your winter cards for a chance to win some digis from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

CAS - Crafting When We Can #83

Hello and happy Sunday! It has been super cold here. Temperatures have been in the teens. Burrr! I guess winter is here.

It is time for another challenge at Crafting When We Can and the sponsor this week is A Random Fan. The theme is clean and simple. I was given Christmas Décor to use for my card, thank you!

I colored the image with Copic markers and used the Atyou Spica glitter pens to color the garland. Unfortunately, the glitter doesn't show up too well in photos.

The image was colored with Copic markers. I used some Atyou Spica glitter pens on some of the bubbles and bling brads on the flowers.

Markers - Crafting When We Can #82

Hello and happy Sunday! I am not doing me with my fall leaf cleanup and I still don't have all the Halloween decorations packed away yet but that didn't stop me from getting ready for Christmas!

Yes, I was at the store and saw a nice addition to my foyer. A gorgeous 5' tree in a ceramic pot all decorated and ready for Christmas! Does anyone remember when the stores didn't start until after Thanksgiving to get in gear for Christmas?

I have a fun card to share for this weeks challenge over at Crafting When We Can. The sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs and I was given Dark Fairy Sassy to use, thank you! The challenge theme is to use your markers. I used Copics to color my image.

So grab your markers and come join us at Crafting When We Can for a chance to win two images from Sassy Studio Designs.

Lighthouse

Hello and happy Tuesday! Just a quick post to share a card I made today.  I made this for my Dad's birthday. He will be 85 on Wednesday. As I was making this card, I thought maybe I should be making it in blue but I really like how the different greens came out. Plus the DP is from one of favorite (yet old) lines of paper!

Black & White - Crafting When We Can #81

Hello and happy Sunday! Fall is definitely here. I have been busy, busy, busy raking leaves and I still have a ton more to go. We have been having some gorgeous weather and enjoying the outdoors. I can't believe Halloween is almost here!

It is time for another challenge over at Crafting When We Can and the theme is black and white. The sponsor for the challenge is Lacy Sunshine. With the black and white theme I could have chosen a Halloween image since it is almost Halloween but that isn't any fun! I decided to go with  Santa Spreading Joy.

Thankful - #58 Creative Knockouts

Hello and happy Thursday! Autumn is definitely here. The temperatures have been quite chilly and leaves are already changing color and falling. My favorite holiday in the US will soon be here, Thanksgiving. Which brings me to this weeks challenge at Creative Knockouts - Thankful.  The sponsor is Doodle Pantry and they were kind enough to provide me with this wonderful digital image - Harvest Bounty, thank you! This is a very versatile set of images and sentiments. Perfect for this weeks challenge.

I colored the images with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut the fall harvest and adhered it with pop dots. The burlap is actually burlap paper from DCWV. I just love burlap! I used my cuttlebug to cut out the photo corner and label. The DP is old paper from my stash.

Just Charming - Creative Knockouts #56

Hello and happy Thursday! It is time for another challenge at Creative Knockouts. This weeks sponsor is Lacy Sunshine. I was able to choose an image to use for this challenge and I picked Eleanor Lil Witch, thank you! The theme for this weeks challenge is charms!

Since Halloween is quickly approaching I thought a Halloween themed card was in order. What I didn't realize is how hard it is to find a Halloween themed charm! I found a blank bezel with an ornate edge detail that I though we be perfect to make my own charm. Easy peasy, right? HA! Somehow I 'misplaced' it and I could not find it anywhere! After looking through my stash and coming to the conclusion that none of my charms would work for this challenge I remembered I had shrink plastic! Even better, I found white shrink plastic in my stash. I stamped this spider with Staz-on Black ink on the white shrink plastic and used a 1" circle punch to cut out the image and my eyelet setter to punch a hole for the twine. Viola, a really cute charm that goes with this image perfectly!

I printed the image on Cryogen white paper. I colored the image with Copic markers and used the Atyou Spica glitter pens on her hat, jewels on her glasses, buttons, and tassels.

Hurry because you only have one week to post your entries for a chance to win 3 digi's from Lacy Sunshine!

Whimsical With Wings - Creative Knockouts #52

Hello and happy Thursday! It is time for another challenge at Creative Knockouts. The challenge this week is whimsical with wings. The sponsor for this weeks challenge is Sweet N Sassy Stamps and they were kind enough to provide me with Templeton Turkey, thank you!

I have the wings part of the challenge and I hope I got the whimsical part of the challenge! I know it is not Thanksgiving yet or even fall for that matter but I thought this was just the cutest image and perfect for this challenge.

I colored him with Copic markers and used my Cricut to cut out the leaves. The DP was old paper from my stash. I created the sentiment on my computer.

Hop on over to Creative Knockouts and let's see your whimsical with wings creations!

Here is my tip for Top Tip Tuesday: I popped the image off the card by accordion folding a piece of card stock and adhering one end to the card and the other end to the back of the image. That way it will still lay relatively flat to go inside an envelope and allows this cute little turkey to pop out and wobble when removed.

October 31

Hello and happy Wednesday! I know it is still August but I saw a sketch on the Stuck?! Sketches blog and then I was looking around my craft space and saw these old pictures sitting in a pile and I thought this would be a good sketch for these really old Halloween photos!

I know it has been a while since I posted a scrapbook layout! I sort of used a bunch of different papers from a few different manufacturers and a few items from a card candy swap I did almost 5 years ago.

Create A Background - Crafting When We Can #74 & DT Call

Hello and happy Sunday! It is time for another challenge at Crafting When We Can. Today's challenge is to create your own background. You can stamp, ink, doodle, create a scene - whatever you do, just create your background.

The sponsor or this challenge is The Stamping Chef and I was given the image Mademonsieur to create my masculine inspired card, thank you!

I used a Hero Arts stamp called Journey to stamp my background on to plain cardstock. I colored the image with Copics. The Eiffel tower is a brad from my stash. I made my sentiment on the computer but made it a little too large to put on the front and I was too lazy to reprint it so it found it's way on the inside.

There is also a Design Team call going on at Crafting When We Can until August 10th. So head on over to create your own background and to check out the DT call if you are interested on being on a fun team and like to create!
