Scrap Book Page Swap - Part 2

Here is the single page layout I made for my secret sister over at SCS for the scrap book page swap. The theme was Happiness Is... and you had to have that phrase somewhere on the layout. Originally I was going to cut out the image from a SVG file but then after I got it all ready to go I realized how many small pieces there were. Now one or two itty bitty, microscopic pieces are ok but three or more can be pushing it! Especially if any are white. For some reason I can't seem to get teeny tiny pieces to cut properly in white no matter what brand of card stock. So after I wasted an hour getting it ready to cut, I went to the computer and printed an image! My fellow Pink Pajama Party Girl Carole had recently demonstrated how to cut a shape with the die and leave a part of the image outside of the die cut. I knew this technique would work for this! I also printed the journaling on the computer before I cut it out with the die.

Best part is the layout was received today by my secret sister and according to her son, my layout "totally rocks."

Papers - Bazzill, ATD
Font - Creating Keepsakes
Making Memories eyelets
 Nestabilities die

  9. Great job on your layout and using all that new knowledge! I haven't tried Carole's cutting technique yet, but really need to try that. Glad that you got such great feedback on what you created.
